Kathmandu: A meeting of the Socialist Front, a coalition of four political parties, is scheduled for this evening. According to Jagannath Khatiwada, spokesperson of the CPN (Unified Socialist), the meeting is slated to begin at 6:00 pm today.

The gathering will be held at the Unified Socialist's central office in Aloknagar and is expected to address various government matters and contemporary political issues.

This meeting marks the second assembly of the Front since its formation around three months ago. A prior meeting had been postponed due to the passing of Sita Dahal, a leader from CPN (Maoist Centre) and the spouse of Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda'.

The Socialist Front comprises the CPN (Maoist Centre), Janata Samajbadi Party, CPN (Unified Socialist), and the Nepal Communist Party led by Netra Bikram Chand 'Biplav'. The coalition aims to facilitate collaboration among these parties on shared political objectives.
